58: Breeding and genetics for dairy herds
In this edition, we hear from strategic dairy farmer Willie Baillie, on his herd breeding strategy, as well as AHDB genetics experts Marco Winter and Fern Pearston, who take us through the genetics indexes and AHDB tools for supporting breeding decisions, such as our herd genetics reports.
We’ll also hear more about the benefits of genomic testing, and how farmers can use those results to better inform their breeding strategy.
